Florida House Health Care Appropriations Subcommittee has unanimously approved HB 1473, that aims to reduce trauma in children
in foster care by reducing the moves and requiring a thought out process to transition children from homes.
Hawaiian high court is providing parents in child welfare cases with stronger rights to counsel as a result of a new ruling
from state's Supreme Court. Counsel must be appointed in child welfare cases as soon as the state files a case in court and courts can reverse a lower court's adverse ruling against parents if they are not afforded an attorney right away.
