Florida Charlotte County Sheriff is advocating for the CHILD Act (H.R. 8443). This would allow federal funding for the Florida Sheriff's ranches to accept children from foster care as an approved treatment facility. Due to the pandemic there is an increased need for foster homes.
Indiana Indianapolis City-County Council has unanimously approved the creation of the Indianapolis Youth Commission. The main goal of the commission is to focus on young people impacted by the juvenile justice system, foster care system, DCS and residential placement.
