Connecticut Department of Children and Families has been lauded as the National Child Welfare Model. The Connecticut child welfare system was transformed to be less institutional and smaller and as a result has been delivering better results.
Indiana Department of Child Services established a group to create the Foster Parent Bill of Rights. This group of foster parents and child placement agencies will work together to detail the responsibilities of foster parents. The goal is to have a Bill of Rights established by October.
