Ruth Song is a strategic, operational, and equity-driven leader with over 15 years of experience driving growth and impact across nonprofit development, cultural institutions, and associations. Her career is marked by meaningful change through strategic fundraising, operational excellence, and a passion for advancing mission-driven initiatives.

As Director of Business Development at BBB National Programs, Ruth’s leadership strengthened industry relationships, advanced executive forums, and enhanced brand visibility across key sectors. Her tenure at the Council of Korean Americans (CKA) as Senior Director of Operations & Development exemplified her ability to expand membership, secure critical fundraising support, and foster leadership within the Asian American community.

Ruth’s lived experience as an adoptee and her role as a guardian and parent to her natural family’s niece have deepened her personal and professional connection to the mission of the National Adoption Association (NAA). Her early career as a Title 1 school teacher at DC Public Schools (DCPS) further solidified her understanding of the needs of underserved youth and the importance of fostering supportive, inclusive communities. She is a steadfast advocate for children, families, and underserved communities, ensuring equity and opportunity remain at the heart of her leadership.
