US - Stimulus package will include a bill, the Supporting Foster Youth and Families through the Pandemic Act, that will prevent youth from aging out of foster care during the pandemic and allow those who have aged out since it started to reenter.

Connecticut Governor Lamont allocates $1 million in supplemental aid to support foster parents for the costs associated with caring for more than 3,600 children during the COVID-19 pandemic. The funds will be taken from the Coronavirus Relief Fund which utilizes federal CARES Act funding.

New York City's Administration for Children's Services is launching a pilot program "Parents Supporting Parents" initiative to expand the use of parent advocates who have experience with the foster care system. They will provide support and mentor parents whose children are currently in foster care by providing emotional support and other practical support throughout the process, since they understand how family court works.
