Federal policy and budget shifts—such as SNAP and Medicaid cuts and revenue changes—will cause strains on many state budgets in the years ahead. Although the cuts are not specific to child welfare, children, families, and organizations will be affected as states tighten budgets.

Presenters: Mary Boo, Consultant and Kamilah Bunn, Chief Executive Officer (NAA)

NAA is creating a leadership-focused initiative to discuss these changes and to engage you in sharing insights, learning from peers, and identifying where NAA can provide strategic guidance and resources

Key Objectives:

  • Understand State-Level Impacts: Discuss how federal changes will affect state budgets and how any cuts may affect child welfare services.
  • Share Strategies & Solutions: Connect with fellow leaders to exchange best practices and overcome challenges.
  • Shape NAA Support: Your insights will guide NAA’s resources, guidance, and advocacy efforts.
  • Strengthen Organizational Readiness: Gain practical tools and strategies to navigate federal policy shifts proactively.
  • Foster Ongoing Learning: Build momentum for future leadership-focused initiatives addressing policy and funding challenges.
