National Center for Diligent Recruitment


The National Center for Diligent Recruitment provides technical assistance, resources and tools and peer connections to the child welfare sector. The center’s goal is to build capacity among child welfare professionals to create systemic changes to how needs of all youth in foster care are met by changing recruitment and support for foster and adoptive families. Funded by the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, Children’s Bureau in 2023, the Center for Diligent Recruitment provides technical assistance to states, tribes and territories.

The National Center for Diligent Recruitment provides free technical assistance to strengthen your diligent recruitment program. The program is tailored to fit specific needs. Access to a knowledge hub with information on diligent recruitment planning, equity, recruiting families and retaining families. Explore their knowledge hub of resources and articles as well as webinars on kinship diligent recruitment strategies learned from tribes, and leveraging data to improve diligent recruitment planning and implementation.
